What a magical night, Flutter Lyon (musician and visual artist) and Lukasz Karluk (interactive artist) had the pleasure of performing at the official opening of Anode Festival at Paddington Town hall in Sydney on Saturday 21 November 09.
Flutter and Lukasz suspended drumskins from the ceiling and projection mapped the surface area of the skins so the audio interactive projections were directed specifically into the surface area of the drums. This was the next evolution following the first experimentation of this technique at Sedition Gallery last week.
As Flutter played, the projections then evolved based on the sounds that were created by her voice and guitar. Lukasz also interacted in real time with the projection imagery via a specially design iPhone application.
Technology meets live audio visual splendor.

And here is a collection of shots from the performance by Jeff Yiu.
