A friend of mine took this shot on a recent trip to New York to release his book of poetry, ‘Ways to Fold Colour’.
Can you spot the tiny little VoC paste-up. Mini though mighty.

Robyn Wilson | Special Performance
9pm | Saturday 11th October 08
LITTLE OAFY @ CITY OF SYDNEY ART & ABOUT FESTIVAL 08
VACANT SHOPFRONT
58 OXFORD STREET
DARLINGHURST
Oxford Art Factory will take over a vacant shopfront on Oxford Street for the duration of the 17 day festival, showcasing a full program of performance art, video art, art installations and music
Head to www.artandabout.com.au for all the info on the festival.
Robyn Wilson is teaming up with one of Sydney’s stunning soundscape artists, Gentle Force, to produce a collaboration of movement, light, projections and sound.
This 15 minute show explores the conflict within all of us between the light and the darkness of the human soul. The fight between directions. The purity of intent.
Robyn’s background in fashion design and graphics will push the aesthetic power of the piece, with a specifically-created costume of bold black and white striped silk georgette over a skin-tight black catsuit. The backdrop will be awash with illustrated imagery, solidifying the visual context of the performance.
A powerful moment of light, movement & sound.
Not to be missed!
You can check out the sounds of Gentle Force here: http://www.myspace.com/gentleforcemusic

Exquisite Corpse | Thursday 9th October 08

We were tired of hearing about Melbourne’s rich artistic scene and how Sydney just isn’t as edgy or progressive…you know what we’re talking about…so we decided to do something about it.
Each week at Exquisite Corpse, James Shirlaw, Robyn Wilson and Yuri Nezovic, bring together a collection of both emerging and established artists and musicians to create a powerful, unique, inspiring event.
We push hard to make it happen.
James mainly sources and books the acts, Robyn mainly create all of the graphic elements of the EC identity and Yuri mainly takes care of everything technical on the night. We are a tight team and often cross-over roles and skills to bring something so ambitious and rich together.
We are determined to create something special and inspiring. To drive a movement that crosses the boundaries between disciplines.
Creatives inspire each other. Conversations spark the greatest of ideas.
Across the world collaborative engagements are exploding. We are working to progress Sydney’s creative scene by building a movement and space for talented people to do their thing, to effect and enrich their audience, to develop special projects and try out new ideas. It’s about getting making some great new things happen. It’s about taking a risk. It’s about being passionate and inspired and courageous.
It’s about effecting the creative evolution of this city.
We hope you have, and will, enjoy what it is that makes EC.
We are delighted to announce the bill for this coming week..
