A uniquely engaging live musician, Lyon employs sultry vocals, electric guitar and effects to create stunning, enthralling shows. Having recently returned from a New York City tour in August 2009, Lyon will embark on an audio visual tour of Sydney and Melbourne this coming Summer 2009/10.
Flutter’s flowing ambient tones and beautiful falsettos combine youthful charm with the calculated moves
of a seductive huntress. She’ll patiently lead the listener to climactic sonic summits of delight before gently reeling them back down to reality and into the next song.
Often collaborating with other highly progressive musicians and video artists, her practice is currently focused on a consort with interactive video artist Lukasz Karluk. Karluk has developed an audio interactive video piece that evolves and transforms abstract projections as Flutter performs. The images interact in real time with Flutter’s vocals and guitar work and are controlled by Lukasz via a specially designed iPhone application.
